Royal Crescent is on the north side of Holland Park Avenue and consists of two curving terraces of white-painted 5-storey houses. In the centre between the facing terraces is a communal garden which consists of expansive lawns and may trees.
The houses themselves are built on 4 storeys. They have small porticoed entrances, above which are small first-floor balconies with iron railings.
Each of the end houses have circular corners which add an interesting dimension to the architecture of the crescent.
The vast majority of houses appear to have been converted into flats.
The ornate iron railings round the gardens are a recent improvement
